Member of:

European Society of Cardiology
European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging

Dr. Giancarlo Trimarchi is an Italian cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging, cardiomyopathies, and heart failure. Born in Messina in 1995, he earned his Medical Degree with honors from the University of Catania in 2020, and completed his specialization in Cardiology at the University of Messina in 2025, focusing on myocardial strain imaging. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Translational Medicine at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Dr. Trimarchi's research bridges clinical practice and advanced diagnostic imaging. His research activity is supported by international and national training, including an observership in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging at University Hospitals Leuven (Belgium) and an internship at the Heart Hospital “G. Pasquinucci” (FTGM, Massa, Italy). He is a member of key professional societies (ESC, EACVI, SIECVI, FIC), author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presenter at national and international conferences.
