Gianluca Campo is full professor of Cardiology at the University Hospital of Ferrara. Gianluca Campo is director the interventional cardiology cath-lab and of the school of cardiology of the University of Ferrara. The research activity of Gianluca Campo is mainly focused on ischemic heart disease and on myocardial infarction. The research activity ranges from basic research (endothelial function, oxidative stress, platelet aggregation, reperfusion injury) to investigator driven monocentre and multicentre studies (myocardial infarction, drug eluting stent, fractional flow reserve, strategies of revascularization, regimen of dual antiplatelet therapy, exercise program) to sponsored multicentre trials (local principal investigator or member of steering committees). Gianluca Campo won several competitive grants from public and private companies to support his research activities.
