Professor Randal Thomas

Dr. Thomas is a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and the Cardiac Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota USA. He is the immediate past chair of the American Heart Association (AHA) Council on Clinical Cardiology and past president of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He has served on the American College of Cardiology (ACC)/AHA Performance Measures Task Force and was chair of the writing group for the 2007 and 2018 ACC/AHA Performance Measures for Cardiac Rehabilitation. His clinical and research interests are focused on preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation.
