Claudia van der Heijden is a resident at the Cardiothoracic Surgery department of the Maastricht UMC+. The highlight of her research career remains the presentation of her meta-analysis comparing hybrid versus catheter ablation in patients with persistent and long-standing persistent AF at the 32nd Annual Meeting of the EACTS (Milan, 2018). The paper was published at the EJCS and incorporated in the Guidelines for AF 2020.
