Pr. Silvain is the new Head of Department of Cardiology at the Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris, France He was the Director of the interventionnal and Structural Cardiology and thr Director the Intensive Coronary Care Unit and he is succeding to Pr Gilles Montalescot and Jean-Philippe Collet. He is a Full Professor of Cardiology and obtained his MD from the Sorbonne University with a medical training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and a post- doctoral training on thrombosis at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine ( UPENN ) in Philadelphia, USA and a PhD in biology on genetic, molecular and pharmacology of thrombosis. He is a member and secretary of the ACTION Research group www.action-groupe.org specialized in clinical trials and authored or coauthored more than 200 publications with publication in the highest impact journals (NEJM, Lancet , JAMA, Nature, BMJ , Circulation, EHJ, JACC).
