Michel Noutsias, M.D., FESC, FHFA, is assistant professor at the Department of Internal Medicine III, Division of Cardiology, Angiology and Intensive Medical Care, University Hospital Halle, Mid-German Heart Center, Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. He studied medicine in Düsseldorf and Berlin, graduated in medicine at the Charité – University Medicine Berlin. He then completed his doctoral thesis (summa cum laude) and specialization in Internal Medicine at the Charité – University Medicine Berlin. He became Temporary Head of the Department of Internal Medicine III, Division of Cardiology, Angiology and Intensive Medical Care, University Hospital Halle 10/2018. Since 12/2019 he is the chief consultant and head of structural heart diseases. His research focusses on cardiomyopathies, especially on inflammatory cardiomyopathy, heart failure, complex PCI procedures in invasive cardiology, and on interventions in structural heart diseases.
