Jong-Il Choi, MD, PhD, MHS, MSc, FESC is Professor of Medicine at Korea University, Seoul, South Korea. He has been serving Director of Division of Cardiology, Korea University Hospital. He completed a 2 year-basic research period (2013-2015) as a visiting scholar at Duke University (Dr. Geoffrey Pitt Lab, Ion Channel Research Unit, Cardiovascular Research Center), Durham, USA. He graduated Clinical Research Program at Duke University Medical School (Master of Health Science in Clinical Research). He received his Master degree of Executive MSc at Department of Health Policy, the London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK. Dr. Choi has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles. He has contributed to understanding the mechanism & treatment of atrial fibrillation, inherited arrhythmias predisposing sudden cardiac death, and cardiovascular genetics & digital health.
