Jong-Il Choi, MD, PhD, MHS, FESC is the Tenured Full Professor of Medicine at Korea University. He received MD and PhD degree from Korea University. He trained residency of internal medicine, fellowship of cardiology & electrophysiology at Korea University Medical Center. He had a 2 year-basic research period (2013-2015) as a visiting scholar at Duke University (Dr. Geoffrey Pitt Lab, Ion Channel Research Unit, Cardiovascular Research Center), Durham, USA. He graduate the Duke-NIH Clinical Research Program at Duke University School of Medicine and got the degree of Master of Health Science in Clinical Research. His research interests are inherited arrhythmias predisposing to sudden cardiac death, mechanism and treatment of atrial fibrillation, and digital health in arrhtyhhmia. He is currently working as the Secretary General of Korea Heart Rhythm Society, a scientific committee member of Korea Society of Cardiology, and a member of basic re6641 search subcommittee of APHRS.
