Dr Devaux's background training is in Biological Sciences, focusing on Biology and Health during his PhD in France and a post-doc in the US. He joined the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) in 2005 and became Head of the Cardiovascular Research Unit in 2017. His main interest is the discovery and validation of novel RNA biomarkers and therapeutic targets of cardiac disease. He is especially interested in translational research, noncoding RNAs, myocardial infarction, heart failure and cardiac arrest. He founded the Cardiolinc NPO in 2014, chaired the EU-CardioRNA COST Action, and currently chairs the Horizon Europe-funded AtheroNET COST Action network of 450+ researchers from 37 EU and international partner countries aiming to advance multi-omics research in cardiovascular disease through collaboration and networking activities. He has contributed 200+ scientific articles and is involved in several national and international research projects focusing on cardiovascular biomarkers.
