JungHee Kang, PhD, MPH, RN is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the College of Nursing, University of Kentucky. Her area of research focuses on the role of nutrition among psychological factors, inflammatory mediators, social determinants of health, sex, and cardiovascular health outcomes. She is particularly interested in developing nutrition interventions to prevent the development of chronic cardiovascular diseases, improve health outcomes (e.g., hospitalization and survival), and enhance the quality of life. Dr. Kang is currently supported by a Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institutes of Health while working on sex differences in the role of diet quality. She enjoys Oriental painting, watching movies, and growing vegetables.
