Dr Evangelia Karvouni is a Consultant Cardiologist at Hygeia Hospital, Athens, Greece with great experience in inherited cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular genetics. She is actively involved in GR Cadiac Network for Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases and Sudden Cardiac Death at Onassis Cardiac Center which aims to outline the burden of inherited cardiovascular diseases and sudden death in the young and implement contemporary clinical practice in the field. Besides this expertise, she was involved in clinical research at the field of Interventional Cardiology and has gained valuable experience in invasive coronary imaging.
Dr Karvouni is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), Member of the ESC Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases, Member of the ESC Council on Cardiovascular Genomics, and Associate of European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI).
She has authored 30 peer-reviewed papers along with book chapters.
