Dr Lyn Ferguson trained in Medicine at the University of Glasgow (MBChB Hons 2010). She undertook general professional training in medicine in West of Scotland, before undertaking higher specialist training in Chemical Pathology and Metabolic Medicine. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MRCP UK) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). She completed her PhD in 2020 which investigated the effects of PDE-4 inhibition on cardiometabolic and immune outcomes in psoriatic arthritis. She is now a Consultant and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Metabolic Medicine in the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health, University of Glasgow. Her research interests include obesity, dyslipidaemia, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease and their interplay with chronic inflammatory diseases including psoriatic arthritis, gout, and RA.
