Professor Giuseppe De Luca

GIUSEPPE DE LUCA, MD, PhD, is Professor of Cardiology at the University of Messina, Italy. He has performed over 8,000 coronary angioplasties and 350 TAVI. He is author of more than 500 full-lenght publications with > 2000 Impact Factor. Prof. De Luca is a major worldwide expert in the setting of acute myocardial infarction and atherothrombosis. He is member of the Editorial Board of several prestigiuos journals. He has served for a decade several EAPCI committees. Elected nucleous member (2019-2020) and Treasure (2021-2022) of the ESC WG Coronary Physiopathology and Microcirculation. Prof. De Luca is recipient of several prestigious international scientific awards, including TCT Young Investigator Award. He is currently conducting several studies on pharmacogenomics, genetic predisposition to atherosclerosis and no-reflow phenomenon, TAVI.
