Dr. Cubedo holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a MBA. She has published more than 35 scientific publications in high-impact journals, including original papers and reviews, and two book chapters, and she is co-author of four patents. She has been representative of the Scientist of Tomorrow (SoT) in the Working Group on Coronary Pathophysiology and Microcirculation (WG6) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and member of the Young Thrombosis Researchers Group of the ESC. She was awarded with the Innovators Under 35-Spain MIT Technology Review award in 2014 for the development of the first prototype to quantify ApoJ-Glyc as a biomarker of ischemia and was one of the 21 finalists for the EU Prize for Women Innovators in 2020. In 2017 she cofounded the spin-off company GlyCardial Diagnostics, to develop ApoJ-Glyc as a novel and promising biomarker for the early diagnosis of cardiac ischemia and the prediction of patient’s evolution after an ischemic event.
