Oana-Cătălina Costache is a cardiology resident at the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases "Prof. C.C. Iliescu" in Bucharest, Romania. She began her residency in cardiology in 2019, following her graduation from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, where she built a solid clinical and research foundation. Her main interests include heart failure, ischemic heart disease, and cardiac imaging. She has presented research at national and international congresses, including the ESC and EACVI, with recent work focusing on complex interventional and structural heart disease cases. She has gained international experience in Germany and Spain through Erasmus+ and research exchange programs and was involved in academic teaching during medical school. Dr. Costache is a Silver Member of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC and a member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology. She is fluent in English and enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
