Dr. Oana-Cătălina Costache is a cardiology resident at the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases "Prof. C.C. Iliescu" in Bucharest, Romania. She began her residency in 2019 after graduating from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova. Her main areas of interest include heart failure, ischemic heart disease, and cardiac imaging. She has presented research at national and international meetings, including the ESC Heart Failure Congress, with a focus on complex interventional and structural heart disease cases. During the early years of her residency, she was actively involved in academic teaching. Dr. Costache has also gained international experience through Erasmus+ and research exchange programs in Germany and Spain. She is a Silver Member of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC and a member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology. She is fluent in English and enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
