Dr. Hari Sugumar MBBS, B Med Sci, MPH, FRACP, PhD (Curr) is a specialist cardiologist and electrophysiologist.
Dr. Sugumar completed his medical degree though the University of Melbourne in 2005 and was admitted as a fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2010 and specialised in Cardiology through Austin Health in Melbourne, Australia. He sub-specialised in Electrophysiology and Cardiac devices, including cardiac re-synchronisation therapy, at Austin health prior to completing an advanced clinical fellowship in Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices in British Columbia, Canada.
He then undertook a 3-year combined Electrophysiology training (including complex ablation techniques) and a PhD through the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, University of Melbourne, Alfred Health and Royal Melbourne Hospitals when he was awarded the NHMRC-NHF and RACP scholarships.
His research interest is focussed on the role of AF in both HFrEF and HFpEF.
