Sue Armstrong works as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the field of Arrhythmias. During her time within Cardiology she has developed the specialist nurse service to improve the patient pathway and provide a high level of care for example preadmission clinic for arrhythmia patients, dedicated ICD cardiac rehabilitation programme and assessment of new and follow up patients within the Outpatient department. With Colleagues she has developed an Allied health care professional implant and explant loop recorder service. Recently Sue has been instrumental in the development of an AF Virtual ward using a telemedicine approach to develop hospital level care for patients within their home.
