Dr. Mauricio Castillo was born in Toluca, Mexico, in 1995. He completed his medical degree at Tecnológico de Monterrey, in Mexico. He pursued his internal medicine residency at the same institution in TecSalud, where he is currently training as a cardiology resident at Hospital Zambrano Hellion in San Pedro Garza García. Dr. Castillo has a growing interest in interventional cardiology, with a particular focus on structural interventions and complex PCI. He has an active role in cardiovascular research, with experience in systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical case reporting. His work has been presented at major international congresses, including ESC Congress and ACC Latin America, and published in indexed journals with impact factor. Dr. Castillo is a professional member of both the ESC and ACC. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French. His long-term goal is to continue contributing to cardiology research and to pursue a fellowship in interventional cardiology abroad.
