I am Dr. Taro, a cardiologist with an interest in arrhythmias (specifically atrial fibrillation and VT/VF). I have been in doctorial training in Hokkaido University, Sapporo Japan since 2019 and will obtain Ph.D. degree in March 2022. My research theme during the doctorial training is a basic research focusing on the influence of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) on the small conductance Ca2+-activated K+ channel (SK channel) in the atria. For this purpose, I use a dual optical mapping technique and whole cell patch clamp technique.

Neuronal nitric oxide synthase inhibition exacerbates atrial electrical remodeling via small-conductance Ca2+-activated K+ channel activation
