Richard Mindham is a patient representative on the ESC’s Patient Forum. Following a diagnosis of Dilated Cardiomyopathy in 2007, Mr Mindham has contributed to a number of efforts which seek to improve the lives of Heart Failure patients and their families. These include Patient Representation on: - NICE Guideline on Chronic Heart Failure 2010 & 2018 (England & Wales) - NICE Quality Standards for Chronic & Acute Heart Failure (England & Wales) - Heart Failure Audit (England & Wales - 12 yr) - International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) Standardized Outcome Measurement Set for Health Failure Patients (Worldwide) - Royal Brompton Hospital (London), Patient Advisory Group on Research - IRONMAN trial steering committee (effectiveness of IV iron vs standard care; UK - 2016 - 2023) - ESC Guidelines for diagnosis & treatment of CHF & AHF 2021 & 2023 Mr Mindham’s HF interests include Rehabilitation, especially exercise, PROMs/PREMs, Quality Indicators, Research.
