Gayle is a specialist heart failure pharmacist, now working as a cardio-renal-metabolic medicine science liaison. She was previously the lead heart failure pharmacist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital, working across the care settings to help ensure medicine optimisation to local patients. This was facilitated through heart failure pharmacist led medicine optimisation clinics, inpatient heart failure ward rounds, dedicated adherence and polypharmacy support, primary care virtual reviews, alongside delivering education and training to clinical staff. In 2024, Gayle completed the Royal Pharmaceutical Society consultant pharmacist credentialing process in heart failure. She was a committee member on the 2025 National Institute of Clinical Excellence chronic heart failure guideline update.
Gayle created MedTap a medicine information app, developed by clinicians at Guy’s and St Thomas’, which launched in 2019.
