Gayle has worked at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital as a specialist heart failure pharmacist since 2016, becoming the lead in 2021. Her role involves working across the care settings to help ensure medicine optimisation to local patients. This is facilitated through heart failure pharmacist led medicine optimisation clinics, inpatient heart failure ward rounds, dedicated adherence and polypharmacy support, primary care virtual reviews, alongside delivering education and training to clinical staff. In 2024, Gayle completed the Royal Pharmaceutical Society consultant pharmacist credentialing process in heart failure. She is an honorary lecturer at King’s College London. Gayle is the creator of MedTap a medicine information app, developed by clinicians at Guy’s and St Thomas’, which launched in 2019.
