Doctor Shuktika Nandkeolyar

Dr. Shuktika Nandkeolyar is currently a first year Cardiology fellow at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She graduated with Honors from the University of California Los Angeles with an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. After graduating, she spent a year researching muscular dystrophy as a Postbaccalaureate Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Nandkeolyar completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center, where she was awarded the accolades of "Second Year Resident of the Year" and "Gene Coodley Memorial Teaching Award". Her research interests include cardiomyopathy, advanced heart failure therapies, and heart transplant. Beyond cardiology, Dr. Nandkeolyar's interests include reading, baking, traveling and playing tennis.

Severe chronic coronary vasculitis and refractory ischemic cardiomyopathy requiring orthotropic heart transplant in a young female with systemic lupus erythematosus.
