Robert Herman, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist and founder of the AI ECG platform PMcardio, used by over 50,000 monthly active clinicians for real-time interpretation of more than 4 million ECGs annually across 40+ cardiac conditions, accelerating care for >100,000 heart attacks missed by contemporary criteria each year. He earned his MD from the Sigmund Freud University (Vienna) and PhD from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), with clinical training in Vienna, Bratislava, and at the Cardiovascular Center Aalst. His work on real-world AI deployment in cardiology has been supported by over $50M in non-dilutive grant funding, including the EIC Accelerator and IPCEI Tech4Cure. He steers multinational clinical trials validating AI-assisted cardiac care and served on the Research, Digital & Innovation Committee of the EAPCI under the European Society of Cardiology. In 2024, he was named to the Forbes Europe 30 Under 30 list in Science & Health.
