Robert Herman, MD, PhD is a physician-scientist focused on the translational application of artificial intelligence in cardiovascular medicine, particularly in acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, and structural heart disease. He is the founder of several AI ECG models, including the Queen of Hearts (STEMI AI ECG Model) trained to detect STEMI or equivalents using angiographic outcomes. The PMcardio platform empowers over 50,000 clinicians each month to interpret more than 4 million ECGs annually, covering 40+ cardiac conditions worldwide. He earned his MD from the Sigmund Freud University (Vienna) and PhD from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), with clinical training in Vienna, Bratislava, and at the Cardiovascular Center Aalst. His work on real-world AI deployment in cardiology has been supported by over $50M in non-dilutive grant funding, including the EIC Accelerator and IPCEI Tech4Cure. In 2024, he was named to the Forbes Europe 30 Under 30 list in Science & Health.
