Professor Lis Neubeck (FESC), Head of the Centre for Cardiovascular Health, Edinburgh Napier University, is known for delivering impactful, patient-centred research that advances prevention, and real-world change. Her work spans cardiovascular disease prevention, stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, anticoagulation, health literacy, and the co-design of services with patients and communities. She leads and contributes to major national and international research programmes, with a strong track record of competitive funding, high-quality publications, and translation into practice.ers. She has successfully supervised 12 PhD candidates, and is widely recognised for building multidisciplinary research capacity and mentoring future leaders. Professor Neubeck’s contributions have been recognised through multiple marks of esteem, including the Royal College of Nursing Outstanding Achievement Award (2024) and Fellowship of the Royal Society of Edinburgh
