Dr. Eduardo Oliver is a Ramon y Cajal Group Leader in the Center for Biological Research Margarita Salas at CSIC in Spain. He is a biomedical scientist with an interest on molecular basis of cardiovascular disease for the search of novel targets and innovative therapeutic strategies. He obtained a PhD in Pharmacology (University of Valencia, Spain), then moved to Imperial College London (UK) where he specialized in pulmonary arterial hypertension and also worked in Dr. Borja Ibáñez' lab at CNIC focusing on pre-clinical trials of new cardiovascular therapies. Eduardo is author of more than 40 scientific publications in high-impact journals including Nature, EHJ, Circulation, or JACC. He is involved in peer review activities, science communication, science policy and advice, and teaching as External Lecturer of the Master in Research and Rational Use of Medicines (University of Valencia). He holds both the European (2016) and Spanish (2017) Young Investigator awards in Pharmacology.
