Doctor Zakariyya Vali

Dr Zakariyya Vali MBChB, MRCP is a clinical research fellow in heart failure and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Leicester, and honorary specialist registrar in cardiology at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, UK. Having started specialist training in cardiology in 2014, Dr Vali developed an interest in electrophysiology and heart failure, and is currently investigating cardiac autonomic function in heart failure patients, and its role in ventricular arrhythmias. He also has an interest in non-invasive localisation and mapping of ventricular arrhythmias and accessory pathways. Dr Vali also has a research interest in novel smartphone and wearable ECG devices. Dr Vali is an investigator for a number of major clinical trials, including HOPE-HF and ANTHEM-HFrEF.
