Shanon Marie Corsino, MD, is currently a Clinical Fellow in Cardio-Oncology at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. Her clinical and academic interests include cardio-oncology, cardiovascular imaging and clinical research, with a focus on clinical epidemiology and outcomes in cancer patients with cardiovascular disease.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, where she also completed a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, graduating Cum Laude. Her interest in cardiology developed early during medical school and was further strengthened through a clinical observership at Juntendo University Hospital.
She completed Internal Medicine at Veterans Memorial Medical Center and Cardiology training at St Luke’s Medical Center– Dr Homobono Calleja Heart and Vascular Institute. She is board-certified in both fields and is actively involved in research on cardiotoxicity and long-term cardiovascular outcomes in oncology patients.
