Doctor Iain James Turnbull

Iain Turnbull is a Clinical Research Fellow at the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH), University of Oxford. He qualified in clinical medicine at University of Cambridge in 2003 and achieved his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2007 while practising General Medicine in the South West of England. On completing his training in General Practice in 2009, he worked for several years in primary care in the large Wiltshire town of Swindon. He joined NDPH in June 2015 and is working with the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB). Since his arrival, he has been engaged in developing techniques for the standardisation of Chinese health insurance data, procedures for the adjudication of major disease outcomes, and classification algorithms for stroke phenotyping. He continues to work part-time in General Practice.
