Dr Iain Gillingham PhD PGCert BN FHEA RN Iain is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at Edinburgh Napier University. A Registered Nurse since 1999, he specialises in interventional cardiology, cardiac rhythm management, and inherited cardiac conditions. As a researcher at the Centre for Cardiovascular Health, Iain’s work focuses on cardiac cath lab workforce development, patient experience, and the integration of AI in cardiology. An advocate for evidence-based practice and lifelong learning, Iain is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He maintains a prominent international profile, serving on the committee of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI). He frequently presents at global forums, including the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (ACNAP), the Gulf Intervention Society (GIS), and EuroPCR, where he works to advance nursing policy and improve patient outcome worldwide.
