https://ssst.edu.ba/professor-single/224/edin-begi----md--ma From the beginning of my career, I have shown an interest in scientific research. I am the lead author on a study entitled "SOMAscan-based proteomic measurements of plasma brain natriuretic peptide are decreased in mild cognitive impairment and in Alzheimer's dementia patients" that was published in the journal PLOS One in 2019 (https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0212261) for which I received the 2019 International Medis Award for Medical Research in Central and Southeastern Europe. The first result of my PhD work is an article entitled "Association of PC and AT levels in the early phase of STEMI treated with pPCI with LV systolic function and 6-month MACE". The second result of my PhD project is the article entitled “Increased high sensitive C-reactive protein is associated with major adverse cardiovascular events after STEMI”.
