Dr Ahsan Khan MBChB MRCP is a cardiology specialist registrar who is currently in training. Additionally, he is currently working towards a medical doctorate (MD) at Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham. He has completed his research and was successful is his viva. His thesis is related to atrial fibrillation and hypertension. He is first author of several papers and a book chapter related to atrial fibrillation, antiplatelets, anticoagulation and renal function. In addition to cardiology training and research commitments, he participates in the Cardiology on call rota. His research interests include atrial fibrillation, hypertension, heart failure and cardiac imaging.
