Rhys is a Healthcare Development Manager with AstraZeneca UK, with an aim to improve awareness and to support clinicians in the development of diagnostic and treatment pathways for patients with suspected/confirmed amyloidosis. Rhys was a highly specialist clinical pharmacist, practising as an independent prescriber within Cardiology and has a keen interest in Heart Failure management and the promotion of the benefits that a specialist pharmacists can provide to a cardiology multi-disciplinary team. Rhys' career ambition is to become a Consultant Pharmacist, where he can use his expert clinical knowledge to provide the highest quality clinical care, influence national service provision and guidelines and provide inspiration to the next generation of pharmacists. In his spare time, Rhys enjoys watching a variety of sport, including rugby union and ice hockey and plays roller hockey for his local club.
