Dr. Rafael Gomes is a Brazilian cardiologist, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He graduated in Medicine from Universidade de Pernambuco and completed residencies in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Echocardiography. He holds a Master’s and PhD in Health Sciences, with research on hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and autonomic dysfunction after myocardial infarction. His expertise includes coronary artery disease, heart failure, echocardiography, autonomic markers, and interventional cardiology. He currently trains in Interventional Cardiology at PROCAPE–UPE and actively contributes to cardiovascular research and education. Fluent in Portuguese and English, he enjoys teaching, family time, and medical innovation.
