Associate Professor Zhichao Zhou

Zhichao Zhou is an Associate Professor from Division of Cardiology, Karolinska Institutet. He obtained his PhD in 2013 at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam. He worked as a post-doctorate research fellow at the West Virginia University (from 2014-2015) and Karolinska Institutet (from 2015-2018). His research team has interests in Cardiovascular (Patho)physiology and Vascular Biology with particular focus on the role of erythrocyte and purinergic signaling in regulation of cardiovascular function in a variety of cardiometabolic disorders, including diabetes, ischaemic heart disease and hypertension.
