Dr. Simona Chiusolo is a Consultant Cardiologist and PhD candidate in Clinical Physiopathology at the University of Pisa, Italy, where she leads research in the field of cardiovascular thrombosis. Since beginning her doctoral studies in 2023, her focus has been on pharmacogenomics and personalized antithrombotic therapy, with a commitment to translating molecular insights into patient-centered cardiovascular care. Dr. Chiusolo graduated with honors in medicine and cardiology, and completed advanced training in antithrombotic therapy at Maastricht University. She has worked in Italy, Denmark, the US, and Sweden. She is also an editor for the journal Heart (BMJ) and teaches life support courses through the Italian Resuscitation Council. She speaks Italian, English, and some French. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading books, and wine tasting.
