Doctor Ana Devesa

Ana Devesa Arbiol is a cardiologist and researcher at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) in Madrid, where she leads a group focused on cardiometabolic diseases and advanced cardiovascular imaging. She completed her cardiology training at Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital (Madrid) and later pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital (New York), specializing in hybrid PET/MRI and multimodal imaging. Her research combines PET, MRI, CT, and spectroscopy to investigate early organ damage and inter-organ crosstalk in cardiometabolic disease. Her main areas of expertise include insulin resistance, diabetic cardiomyopathy, subclinical atherosclerosis, and inflammation.
