Mohamed Marwan, MD is the head of the cardiac CT department at the University of Erlangen, Germany . He is currently working as a Professor of Internal Medicine and the lead consultant at the Cardiology Department, University Hospital Erlangen Dr. Marwan graduated with an MB Bch from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt and an MD from Friedrich Alexander University, Germany. He started his training in Cairo, Egypt and continued his speciaty training as well as his academic career in Erlangen, Germany. His clincal interests are non-invasive imaging including cardiac CT and cardiac MRI as well as transcatheter coronary interventions. Research interests include the use of coronary CT angiography for plaque imaging and cardiac CT for guiding coronary and non-coronary interventions. Dr. Marwan has published over 100 related articles, abstracts and book chapters and serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography
