Jessica is a Senior Research Fellow and NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney, Australia. She is also Editor-in-Chief at JSAMS Plus, Associate Editor at the British Journal of Sports Medicine, a Cardiac Research Fellow at Cricket Australia, World Heart Federation Emerging Leader 2023 and a Fellow of the ESC (FESC). She has a PhD, MPH (with Merit) and B.Ec/LLB(Hons I) all from the University of Sydney. Jessica’s research aims to improve the quality of screening programs to prevent sudden cardiac death and catastrophic disability from stroke. She is currently leading an international, multidisciplinary team building an Australasian registry of athlete ECGs. She is also interested in digital health, implementation of novel eHealth tools, and how the law can be used to achieve public health aims. Jessica has built and engaged in numerous national and international collaborations across the US, UK, Europe and South Africa.
