He is Professor at the Tianjin Institute of Cardiology and the Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He was Reader in Public Health at University of Kent, Public Health Consultant at Medway Council, and Senior Epidemiologist at the Observational and Pragmatic Research Institute, Singapore. He is Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey and Honorary Associate Professor at UCL. In recognition of his contributions to cardiovascular big data, he was an elected a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Class II: Medicine).
