Margret is a Senior Cardiology Consultant and Associate Professor at Skane University Hospital and Lund University in Malmö, Sweden. Her main area of expertise is Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention. She divides her time equally between clinical work - mostly in the outpatient setting - and research activities. She has been actively involved in the SWEDEHEART Cardiac Disease Quality Registry for many years and was Lead for writing National Guidelines on Secondary Prevention for patients with Coronary Artery Disease in Sweden. She was also a task force member for the 2023 ESC Guidelines for the management
of acute coronary syndromes. She has authored more than 90 scientific papers, supervises several PhD students and post-doctors, and is an experienced lecturer on topics including healthy lifestyles, risk factors, secondary preventive pharmacotherapy, and implementation of cardiac rehabilitation for patients with coronary artery disease.
