Dr George Joy is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology in City St George's University of London. His research applies advanced non-invasive techniques and AI to detect early heart muscle abnormalities in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, understanding factors influencing disease progression and sudden cardiac death. His work has been published in Circulation and the Journal of American College of Cardiology. He was also nominated for the BHF Heart Hero Research Story of the Year 2024 and won the RSM President's Prize Silver Medal.
