Dr. Gemma Chiva-Blanch is a researcher in the cardiovascular field with 8 years of postdoctoral experience. She has published 70 articles (Web of Science) among which 50 are indexed in Pubmed (2386 citations, H index = 28) including original manuscripts, consensus papers and reviews. She has contributed to 8 book chapters, and she is and has been co-investigator of 18 research projects (National and European projects either funded by public agencies or industry). She has recognized experience in clinical trials and cohort studies in the field of nutrition and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Gemma Chiva-Blanch is currently investigating the relationship between different cardiovascular pathological stages and the levels of extracellular vesicles from several cell origins of the vascular compartment. She is also investigating the effects of diet, diabetes, and obesity, in extracellular vesicle release. She is a nucleus member of the ESC Scientists of Tomorrow since February 2021.
