Silver Heinsar is a cardiologist from Estonia specialising in cardiac electrophysiology. He combines clinical practice with active research, bridging translational science and patient-centred care.
Dr. Heinsar graduated MD from Tartu University (2017) after which he completed his PhD at the University of Queensland (2023) for which he was awarded the Deans List for outstanding contribution to research. In 2025, he was Young Scientist of the Year by Estonian President Alar Karis.
His expertise includes invasive electrophysiology, cardiac tachyarrhythmias, cardiac rhythm management devices, and the application of ECMO in high-risk cardiac settings. His research interests centre on cardiac electrophysiology, mechanisms of arrhythmogenesis, artificial intelligence models in electrophysiology, and the interaction between cardiac function (incl strain analysis), central haemodynamics and electrical function.
