Oscar Leonel Rueda-Ochoa is an internal medicine physician, with training in cardiovascular epidemiology. He finalized his Ph.D. program in Cardiovascular Research in the Department of Epidemiology, Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlands. His Ph.D. thesis was about Cardiovascular controversies solved by applying contemporary statistical methods. He is working on topics like repeated continuous outcomes in systolic blood pressure, left ventricular diastolic function, electrocardiography, aortic diameters using marginal, mixed, and joint models. Propensity score matching, competing risk, SEM, youden index, mediation analysis, and causal studies using g formula are other working areas in progress. The genetic risk score, ewas and Mendelian randomization analysis are other important areas of interest.
