Gabrielle Santos is a registered nurse since 2006, and worked during 10 years as staff nurse and as clinical nurse specialist in a university hospital in internal medicine divisions. Gabrielle Santos is now assistant Professor UAS at University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland, School of Health Sciences in Fribourg since 2023. She ends currently her doctoral studies. Gabrielle Santos addresses how to support heart failure self-care among people with heart failure and their informal caregivers, and specifically symptom perception. During her doctoral project, Gabrielle Santos aimed to develop a complex, evidence-based intervention supporting SYMptom PERception in HEART failure (SYMPERHEART) and test its feasibility, acceptability, and outcome responsiveness among persons with HF and their informal caregivers. Gabrielle Santos speaks French, English, as well as Italian and understands German and Spanish.
