Doctor Duane Pinto

Dr. Pinto received his M.D. from Georgetown University and was Intern, Resident, Chief Resident, General Cardiology Fellow and Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA. He is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief of Interventional Cardiology at BIDMC. He performs coronary, peripheral and structural procedures and has published in NEJM, JAMA, JACC and Circulation. He is the director of the BIDMC Imaging Core Laboratory where echocardiograms, CT scans, angiograms, echocardiograms, and MRI are studied in over a dozen pivotal trials for novel aortic and mitral technology, renal denervation, and thrombectomy devices. A technical expert, he has performed cases involving left main PCI, atherectomy, OCT, PAD intervention, TAVR and MCS in China, Cuba, Egypt, Georgia, Mexico and Vietnam. He advises in design of novel mechanical support devices performing prototype evaluation, animal and cadaver studies and first in human implants.
