Angelo Avogaro is Full Professor of Endocrinology & Metabolism and Chief of the Metabolic Unit, University Hospital of Padova. From 1986 to 1988 he was granted with a NIH Fogarty Fellow. In 2008 Castelli Pedroli Prize for the European Association of Diabetes. He is Editorial Board of the Journal of the America College of Cardiology, of Editorial Board of Journal of Diabetes and its Complication, and senior editor of Nutrition and Diabetes. His H index is 71 in Scopus and 80 Google Scholar. He is member of the Italian Society of Diabetology, of the European Society for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), and member of the Italian Society of Endocrinology
