Professor Nazim Laraba

Nazim Laraba, MD, PhD, is a professor in internal medicine at the medicine faculty of Algiers and head of the department of internal medicine at the university-hospital of Bab El-Oued, Algiers, Algeria. He trained in internal medicine at the medicine faculty of Algiers before moving to France, where he completed his clinical training in vascular medicine at Paris university René Descartes 5. Nazim Laraba has conducted basic research in the fields of atherosclerotic polyvascular disease and cardiovascular manifestations of connective tissue diseases. His research interests include epidemiological transition affecting developing countries especially the emergence of cardiovascular diseases.
