Ivica was born on 9th September 1981 in Banja Luka. In 2013, he graduated from the School of Medicine. During his education, he was awarded scholarships by the University of Zagreb and the City of Zagreb. He received the Dean's award for the best student paper and Dean's Commendation for a distinguished academic record. In 2014, he finished the teacher’s training at the University of Osijek and started working in a nursing school. In 2020, he finished a PhD programme in the field of Biomedicine and health care. From 2003 to 2014 he had worked in hospitals (UH Merkur, UH Dubrava, UHC Zagreb-Rebro) in the fields of cardiovascular nursing, cardiovascular anesthesia, radiology and transfusion . From 2014 to 2023 he had worked as a VET professor and Erasmus+ projects coordinator in the School of Nursing Mlinarska.
Since 2023, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Catholic University of Croatia. Ivica has been in the ACNAP since 2015.
