Doctor Dominik Benz

PD Dr. Dominik C. Benz is a leading expert in cardiac amyloidosis and multimodality cardiac imaging. He received his training in cardiology and cardiac imaging at the University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland. From 2021 to 2022, he pursued a research fellowship in cardiac amyloidosis at Harvard Medical School and a clinical fellowship in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) at the Cardiovascular Imaging Program at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Currently, Dr. Benz is a research group leader at the University of Zurich and an attending physician in Echocardiography and Cardiac Imaging (CT, CMR, Nuclear) at the University Hospital Zurich. His translational research focuses on the mechanisms of disease progression in cardiac amyloidosis through innovative multimodal imaging techniques. Dr. Benz's work is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Swiss Heart Foundation and the Advanced Clinician Scientist Program of University Medicine Zurich (UMZH).
