Dr. Omar AbouEzzeddine, Associate Professor of Medicine, received his MDCM & BSc from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine, Fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases & Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology as well as a master's degree from the Mayo Graduate School, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. His interests include acute decompensated heart failure, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, novel biomarkers, & nuclear imaging with a specific focus on myocardial energetics, infiltrative & inflammatory cardiomyopathies. He has a dual appointment in the Divisions of Circulatory Failure & Nuclear Cardiology. He is currently the Director of the Cardiac Sarcoidosis Clinic & Medical Director of the Inpatient Heart Failure practice. He currently staffs the inpatient Heart Failure Service at Saint Mary's Hospital, the Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory as well as the Heart Failure, Cardiac Amyloid and Cardiac Sarcoid Clinics.
